Commonly referred to as The Met, the museum advocates the proliferation of art in any form. The Met has positioned itself as a space that showcases noteworthy artworks while also preserving historical and cultural artifacts.

On top of this, as you’ve probably seen on Instagram, an annual Met Gala is spearheaded by Vogue as a fundraising event for the Met’s Costume Institute and is attended by influential art and fashion figures.

With one of the most expansive archives in the city, the Met offers something for everyone. You can indulge in Hellenistic statues and medieval tapestries as well as the masters of contemporary art.

The Frick contains ornamental items and works of European art that relate to Europe’s early creative styles, such as Rococo and Baroque. The museum also features a collection of delicate and historical artifacts important to Europe’s history and culture.

In addition to this, the museum is well-known for its collection of master artists’ works. Including works by French master Fragonard and Modernist William Turner.  While the Frick collection’s on-display products would attract anyone who wishes to escape the bustling atmosphere of New York City, it is important to note that the collection’s primary building is undergoing renovations. So the majority of the collection can be visited at the Madison avenue satellite at 945 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10021.

A singular destination for your art needs, that’s the Museum of Modern Art (aka the MoMA) for you.  It’s the playground of art lovers with the very best to offer in modern and contemporary art.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has been making waves worldwide with its cutting-edge presentations of art. With the highly marketable, iconic names of some of MoMA’s masterpieces, people can expect to gain meaningful connections through the art featured like gazing into Van Gogh’s Starry Night or being immersed in Matisse’s Red Studio.

MoMA PS1

22-25 Jackson Avenue Long Island City Queens, NY 11101

View of the exterior of the P.S.1 in Queens: MoMA PS1 is one of the largest art institutions in the United States dedicated solely to contemporary art.

Exemplifying resilience, the Museum of the Modern Art (MoMA) Public School One (PS1) successfully surpassed challenging times after facing difficulties during the first wave of Covid-19. The museum had pushed forward and continues operations as a crown jewel of Long Island City.  It can be considered MoMA’s younger sibling, but do not judge it for its size. Though MoMA PS1 is a smaller version of the latter, it’s certainly not short of valuable offerings to its visitors.

The museum serves as a stage for the artists that make New York such a diverse and creative city while also providing a bridge to the international Contemporary Art scene.
